FUTURITY & DERBY PROGRAM

SADDLES:  1 Saddle - minimum of 25 nominations  |  2 Saddles - minimum of 45 nominations (if only one saddle in each class it will be awarded to highest money earner of the finals weekend.

2D Full Second Split

No Qualifications:  No additional qualifications are required for the finals Futurity/Derby, you will just forfeit points for year end. You do however need to have the Open Qualifications (8)

Year End Points: Year end points based off amount of entries in each "D" of co sanctioned Futurity/Derby Sidepots (No $5 fees on Derby or Futurity will be collected).  Year end awards TBD.

Nomination Fee:   06/1/2024 - 12/31/2024: $120

  1/1/2025 - 4/30/2025: $130  

  5/1/2025 - 5/31/2025: $140

  6/1/2025 - Finals: $150

READ CAREFULLY:  All Futurity/Derby horses must be nominated into the OutLaw Barrel Races program. You must have a OutLaw Open Membership.

  • To nominate a horse you must send a copy of the registration papers (or vet affidavit verifying age) and this signed nomination form.
  • There are no qualification requirements to enter the Futurity/Derby at the OutLaw Barrel Races Finals. However all riders must be an OutLaw member to compete and all horses must be nominated.
  • Futurity/Derby horses must be nominated by active OutLaw Barrel Races members.

Registered Horses Name Only. This name must be used when entering Futurity Or Derby Events. Barn Names will not be accepted for points.

 

Futurity

 

Futurity horses can not be entered until 11/15/2024

These are either 3 coming 4 year olds, or 4 coming 5, that have not been entered in any Barrel Racing Competition.

DERBY

Derby Horses must be 8 Years old or younger As of 1/1/2025

2017 -2020

Year End Points

​

Points are accumulated off of OutLaw Approved Futurity & Derby Races only, These can be there own sidepots or actual races.

No open monies will be used for Futurity/Derby Year End Points.

No Co-Sanction Fees will be collected for approved Futurity & Derby Classes.
